JOES' STORY
Joe began his career in 1976 working at a big box furniture store and quickly moved up the ranks to store manager. Joe continued his management career during the retail technology boom by accepting a position with a startup retail computer company, Computer City (owned by Tandy Corp), and quickly worked his way up to a recruiter for the company. During his time with COMP USA, his wife got accepted to Albany Law School and they moved to upstate New York. Reacting to the effects on computer big box stores by on-line purchasing, Joe changed directions and went back to his roots and was hired by Western Auto/Parts America (owned by Sears). Within two-years Joe rose through the ranks to be the New England Regional Recruiter. During his time with Western Auto Parts, Joe identified new retail locations, negotiated leases, and developed new retail stores.
